Afternoon friends,

What gets you out of bed in the morning? Do you surrender to the triple snooze? Maybe you’ve got one of those alarms that you have to physically catch to make it stop. Or perhaps you experience the strange phenomenon whereby the closer it gets to that tube time of 7.38 am, the larger and angrier your boss’ face starts to appear in your mind’s eye.

This week we’ll be talking about…self-discipline. There is certainly no lack of motivational methods out there on the market (and what to mention of the myriad diet books pouring off of library bookshelves). And yet, we don’t find permanent satisfaction or peace in these well-meaning attempts at antidotes for our lethargic symptoms. We need something that goes deeper.

We’ll be investigating the claims from the Bhagavad Gita, and how it delves into the very core of what makes us tick. It advises us to pay attention to the mind and senses, for they can drag us off our course in life.
