The sun is shining here in London! We thought it would be wonderful to begin our June sessions with kirtan – mantra meditation. Join us to engage in an immersive experience that can unlock our greatest potential.
The word mantra comes Sanskrit: ‘man’ means ‘mind’, and ‘tra’ means ‘release’. So a mantra is a combination of transcendental sounds that can release the mind from all anxiety and connect to our higher self.
The Hare Krishna mantra is known as the maha-mantra, or great mantra. It is the essence of all mantras. Lecturing at Boston’s Northeastern University in the summer of 1969, Srila Prabhupada states: “If you take up this simple process chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, you are immediately elevated to the transcendental platform.
