We are delighted to invite you to a session with Rasamandala das on Thursday, 22nd June 2017. The narrative of transcendental ethics continues in June as well. Our guest will help us explore the following crucial points.
- Dialogue between Eastern and Western perspectives.
- The trajectory of ethical discourse, and the rehabilitation of the virtue theory.
- Lifestyle, leadership and social justice in contemporary discourse.
Rasamandala Das holds an MA in Religious Education from Warwick University. He joined ISKCON in 1973 at Bhaktivedanta Manor. He was the founder of ISKCON Educational Services, the U.K.’s largest provider of educational resources on Hinduism. He was previously course director for a BA in Education Studies, Theology and Religion, validated by the University of Chester. He also contributed to the development of the highly-popular VTE Teacher Training Courses.
In addition to his life-long valuable contribution to ISKCON, Rasamandala is an independent academic researcher, currently studying Hindu Ethics, with a view to bringing Eastern insights into conversation with Western philosophical traditions and most recent ethical discourse. He is an advocate of caring and relational ethics, and virtue-based leadership.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
